As part of the expansion policy of Meridian Spa & Fitness Deutschland GmbH in the “home market” Hamburg, in 2013 PROFUND Consult evaluated the development area “Quartier 21” on the free-falling properties of the AK Barmbek hospital. The core of the project idea was the reuse of the historic heating house with water tower through a smaller, fitness-oriented MeridianSpa.
The facility in the historic “Wasserturmpalais” was opened in January 2015 as the supplier’s 5th plant in the Hamburg market.
