On behalf of the cooperative MIGROS Ostschweiz, in the years 2013/2014 PROFUND Consult evaluated trends in the spa market, the demand potential in Eastern Switzerland and the Swiss spa offer. The aim of MIGROS was to supplement the existing range of spas in Switzerland with a new water park project. The focus was on the idea for the target group families to implement a contemporary bathing and sliding experience.
The best municipalities identified by PROFUND Consult with the best market conditions were initially the starting point of the specific location / property search by the real estate department of MIGROS. The project was then discontinued.
The results of the trend and benchmark analysis also served MIGROS Eastern Switzerland as the basis for the realignment of the existing spa park in the Säntispark, St. Gallen, which was rebuilt during operation from 2015 to 2017.
